Results of last weeks poll:
Shayne Gostisbehere has stepped right in and been and effective defensemen for the Flyers

Hey, he can play, he should stay with the Flyers 64.71% (11 votes)

Before Mark Streit returns we should trade 1 of our d-men to make space for him 29.41% (5 votes)

I am surprised how well he's playing. Lets see some more Phantoms. 5.88% (1 votes)

The Flyers should send him back for more seasoning with the Phantoms 0% (0 votes)

I expect when Streit returns, Andy MacDonald will have more company in Allentown 0% (0 votes)

Total Votes: 17

Now the league knows what the Flyers know, he can play.  Next year expect Travis Sanheim and Sam Morin to be in the fold.
Phantoms Captain McDonald scored the go ahead goal 5 minutes into the third period to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead.  He finished +1 with 3 hits in almost 8 minutes of ice time.
Shayne Gostisbehere scored his second overtime game winner on the power play to beat the Predators Friday in Philly.  He finished the game +1 with 19 minutes of ice time.
Michal Neuvirth was outstanding in the win against the Predators stopping 33 shots in 64 minutes of play.  The win lifts Neuvirth to 5-3-1 for the season.
The Flyers could not hold of the extra man attacker as the Predators Mike Fisher punched in a goal from the crease with 20 seconds to go to tie the game at 2.  No worries, we have Mr. OT, Shayne Gostisbehere.  After the Preds got called for too many men on the ice, the Flyers power play organized itself to get Gostisbehere a one timer to win the game.  Again, coming from the pass of Giroux.  Giroux has assisted or scored the goal itself on the last Flyers 11 goals.  Only Colin McDonald's go ahead goal did not have a helper from Giroux.
Michal Neuvirth looked like he was going to get the win in regulation.  He was excellent.  The Flyers penalty killers have not allowed a power play goal in the last 5 games, and have stopped 17 straight chances by the opposition.

Radko Gudas continues to pile up the hits.  Against the Predators he registered 6 hits and a blocked shot in 25 minutes of ice time, and finished even.  He leads all NHL defensemen in hits.
Evengy Medvedev got dusted off to play against the Predators.  He assisted on the McDonald goal, was +1 and had 2 hits in almost 16 minutes of ice time.
