The game was exciting.  Wish Giroux had done more.
     Michael Raffl scored his 7th goal, had an assist, 4 blocked shots and finished +3 against the Sabres on Thursday night.
   Nick Cousins scored his first NHL goal in the third period of the Sabres win.  He also had an assist, hit, and blocked shot while finishing +3.
   Wayne Simmonds scored his 20th goal and added 4 hits against the Sabres on Thursday night.

    Steve Mason stopped 41 of 42 Sabres shots on Thursday night, including all 6 Sabres power play shots.

      The Flyers ended a 3 game losing streak with a 4 goal, 2nd period out-burst.  Goals came from Umberger, Raffl, Simmonds, Schenn and Cousins.
      Steve Mason made 41 saves and the Flyers blocked 32 shots.  The Flyers defense stopped all 6 Sabres power plays.
       Matt Read, Scott Laughton and Evgeny Medvedev were healthy scratches.  RJ Umberger snapped a 50 game scoreless streak.  
      Shayne Gostisbehere's assist extended his point streak to 10 games tying Michael Renberg's team record.  In the 10 games Ghost has 13 points.
