Akeson's first NHL goal, Steve Mason's 43 saves steal
Jason Akeson scored his first NHL goal and finished +2 in 12 and half minutes of ice time in the season finale. Jason is from the Ottawa area as well.
The up and down Flyers
made it 3 in a row with a one goal win against the Islanders in Philly on Thursday. The scoring came from Danny Briere
(6th) and Oliver Lauridsen (2nd). It was
the Islanders first regulation loss this month. This will be the first time in 6 years the Islanders made the Playoffs.
Brayden Schenn tortured the Senators defensemen with 7 hits and 2 blocked shots in
13 and half minutes on Saturday night.

Jakub Voracek capped
a great season by scoring the game winning goal (22nd of the year) in the third period on the rush
in Ottawa Saturday night. Jakub wash the teams MVP this year, getting awarded the Bobby Clarke trophy.
Claude Giroux recorded
his 200th career assist making a great play on the Akeson goal. He finished +1 in almost
21 minutes of ice time on Saturday.
Steve Mason won his 100th career NHL game Saturday
night in Ottawa with an incredible 43 saves, stopping all 8 power play shots.
The 43 saves were a team high by a goalie this year.
